What a winter 2014 has been. Valentine's Day, Easter far away--not much for parents to look forward to, party-wise. But don't worry you parents of bored kids, teacher-mama has a plan (did you ever know me not to?) Winnie-the-Pooh (that wise old bear) said that any day is good day for a party. So he wished friends "happy Windsday" (not Wednesday as it was windy). And I thought, yeah, who needs a holiday for a party? Why not have a just-because party? For preschoolers, might I suggest a book theme? Here's a little at-home party plan you can do with one toddler or many children. It comes from "Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?" and "Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?" by Bill Martin and Eric Carle. Read on for printable crafts, coloring pages, games, snacks. Use coloring pages as invitations. Don't want to deal with inviting other kids? No need to. Invite daddy, gramma, the cat, sisters and brothers. We have wonderful memories of impromptu Pooh-inspired any day parties. Book Activities from Brown Bear, Brown Bear
